Whiteface, Texas

Whiteface, Texas is located in Cochran County.


During Cochran County's 2016 Presidential Election 75.4% (679 residents) voted Republican, 21.1% (190 residents) voted Democrat, and 3.6% (32 residents) voted for other candidates. 


During the 2018 Republican Party Primary, voters had the opportunity to vote on proposition #7. This proposition gave voters the chance to voice their opinion if they were "In Favor" or "Against" this following statement: " I believe abortion should be abolished in Texas." In Cochran County, out of 411 votes, 313 voted in favor of the idea of abolishing abortion in the state of Texas and 98 voted against the idea abolishing abortion in the state of Texas. 


The population of the city of Whiteface, Texas is 449.


On March 12th, 2020 the City Council of Whiteface voted on the Sanctuary City for the Unborn Ordinance. The vote by the City Council was 3 for and 2 against. In taking this action the City of  Whiteface became the thirteenth city to outlaw abortion in the nation.
