On December 8, 2022,  the Lea County Commission voted to adopt an ordinance requiring abortion providers to comply with federal law in the unincorporated areaof Lea County, New Mexico. Through the passage of this ordinance, abortion was outlawed de facto. 


The vote of the Lea County Commission, which covered all of the unincorporated area of Lea County was unanimous, 5-0.

On January 10, 2023,  the Roosevelt County Commission voted to adopt an ordinance requiring abortion providers to comply with federal law in the unincorporated area of  Roosevelt County, New Mexico. Through the passage of this ordinance, abortion was outlawed de facto. 


The vote of the Roosevelt County Commission, which covered all of the unincorporated area of Roosevelt County was 4-1.

On July 14, 2023,  the Mitchell County Commissioners' Court voted to adopt an ordinance outlawing abortion and abortion trafficking in the unincorporated area of  Mitchell County, Texas. 


The vote of the Mitchell County Commissioners' Court , which covered all of the unincorporated area of Mitchell County was 4-0.

The vote of the Lubbock County Commissioners' Court, which covered all of the unincorporated area of Lubbock County was 3-0, with two abstaining.

On December 15, 2025,  the Crosby County Commissioners' Court voted to adopt an ordinance outlawing abortion and abortion trafficking in the unincorporated parts of Crosby County, Texas. 


The vote of the Crosby County Commissioners' Court, which covered all of the unincorporated area of Crosby County was a unanimous 5-0 in support of the measure.

On March 2, 2026 the King County Commissioners' Court voted to adopt an ordinance outlawing abortion and abortion trafficking in King County, Texas. 


The vote of the King County Commissioners' Court, which covered all of King County was a unanimous 4-0 in support of the measure.
