Initiative Status: The Sanctuary City for the Unborn Ordinance was on the May 1st, 2021 ballot for the voters of Lubbock, Texas to decide. The ordinance was passed in a landslide election with 62% voting in favor of the ordinance and 38% voting against the ordinance. The ordinance went into effect on June 1st, 2021.
